INTRODUCTION TO VTOP AND MELITE

Introduction:

Melite - T.S. Pradeep Kumar


  • Competence for high quality teaching

  • Melite credentials will be provided by VIT. 

  • All activities are recorded in the melite website and the faculty should update all the information like invited talks, research activities, publications and leaves shall be uploaded.

  • Even information like guest house is also available through this link. 

  • Choice of class should be made through the link and book a slot for the same.

  • You can check if gets approval by going to the approval sections.

  • You can also book your seminars, webinars and workshop permissions through the melite.

  • Research Publications has a separate section, in this section, one has to upload the co-authors (if VIT) and the other information like volume, year Journal name, pages, impact factor and ISSN number and get it approved by the Dean. 

  • Faculty has to collect all the proofs for the academic or non-academic activities. 

  • Procedure to apply for leave through Faculty leave form. 

  • One can attend workshops of length less than days. If it is more than 3 days, one needs to take permission from Pro-VC.

  • ‘On duty’ are of different types, there can be official on duty, personal on duty, etc.


VTOP - Dr. G. Suganya: 

  • It has three sections

  1. Employes and students 

  2. Parents 

  3. Alumni

  • So after logging in through the Employee section, you can change your role by dropping down the options with the profile photo. 

  • We can choose to edit the available hours, time tables, QC meetings, workload, etc.

  • Course assessment configuration has to be sent in the first 15 days from the commencement of the course. 

  • You can attach links to describe the lecture topic and you can fix the slots by looking at the time table. 

  • QC meetings are to discuss the issues concerning students and their curriculum or it can be regarding research.

  • Extracurricular activities, something like club activities  are also recorded,

  • Evaluation process and attendance has to be marked on a timely basis and the links would expire after some time. 

  • One can check out the student’s complete history from this portal. 

  • In the general menu, you can read about the other faculty members and find the other additional roles they handle. 

  • Additional duties of Proctors are to approve the leave requests by coordinating with the parents and local guardians.
